Three Years Later

Three years ago today, we lost Tommy to DIPG. It feels like the blink of an eye and a lifetime.

As the mom of a child in heaven, I bounce between the past, the present, and the future.

I long for what was and dig up memories that give me both joy and sorrow.

RunTough for Team Tommy

The 3rd Annual RunTough for Team Tommy event on Saturday, Sept. 28, raised more than $30,000 for The ChadTough Foundation, funding Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma and pediatric brain cancer research. Combined with the funds raised at the 6th Annual RunTough for ChadTough honoring Chad Carr and the ColtStrong Fun Run honoring Colt DelVerne, we raised more than $280,000 for DIPG and pediatric brain cancer research.

Team Tommy has Raised More Than $145,000 for DIPG Research

Donations, sponsors, individual fundraising events, and RunTough for Team Tommy have all contributed more than $145,000 to DIPG research through The ChadTough Foundation. Additionally, marathon runners (including Tom Ruddy) have run on behalf of Tommy, raising more than $30,000 for Team ChadTough, and Facebook fundraisers have raised more.

Tommy’s Story

Tommy Ruddy was born on Nov. 11, 2010. He was outgoing, loved sports, and had an incredible, giving spirit.
